Network Homes named Housing Association of the Year at ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry

22 November 2016

Network Homes was named Housing Association of the Year and won Gold and Bronze for Best Starter Home Scheme, and Silver for Best Regeneration Scheme at the WhatHouse? Awards 2016 on Friday 18 November.

The Housing Association of the Year award is presented to the organisation the judges feel has exceeded its performance and shown innovative solutions to help buyers onto the home ownership ladder or into rented accommodation.

We went on to win further awards for the quality of our developments, beating off stiff competition from top private developers:

  • Gold - Best Starter Home Scheme for the Junction in Stockwell Park
  • Bronze – Best Starter Home Scheme for Lime Walk in Wembley
  • Silver - Best Regeneration Scheme for the Stockwell Park Estate; the third major award Stockwell Park has received this year.

The win comes at the height of a hugely successful year for Network Homes. In May we successfully amalgamated our former federal group structure into one housing association, rebranding as Network Homes, and posted a record net surplus of £103million. Network Homes won 10 other major industry awards throughout the year including being named Overall Winner at the National Housing Awards in September.

The judges’ report said: “Network Homes has had an incredible year, and despite its many achievements, there is a real sense that this is only the beginning of a remarkable transformation… The future is looking bright for Network.”

Helen Evans, Chief Executive of Network Homes, said: “This is an outstanding achievement for Network Homes, adding to a tally of success over the year. The result reflects our status as an organisation with the passion, people, skills and commitment to deliver exceptional homes and services.”

Vicky Savage, Executive Director of Development at Network Homes, said: “Our success at these awards shows how Network Homes can compete with and match the best developers in the country in terms of product and quality.  We love to build and we are truly on top of our game.

“Our winning projects reflect our commitment to house those in need with exceptional quality homes and the investment we make into each and every one of our developments and their surrounding localities. We believe good homes make everything possible and we work hard to make this a reality for our customers.”
