Network Homes seals Premier agreement with PDR Construction to provide over 100 new affordable homes in Edgware

05 March 2018

Network Homes, has exchanged contracts with PDR Construction to build and deliver Premier Place, offering 122 new affordable homes in Edgware, Barnet.

The homes will be a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments; 16 for affordable rent and 106 for shared ownership, all managed by Network Homes. This is Network Homes’ first development in Edgware, included as one of the 35 major town centres in the London Plan delivered by the Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority (GLA). The plan aims to co-ordinate the development of London’s network of town centres.

Work will commence in spring 2018 to transform a former retail car park into new homes for local people. The development will complete in September 2020.  The scheme will have four distinct blocks ranging from four to 17 storeys in height and 76 car parking spaces.

Located in the middle of the town centre, the homes will be within walking distance of many amenities such as The Broadwalk Shopping Centre, supermarkets, restaurants and a gym. The homes will be well served by public transport; Edgware Station is just a four-minute walk away with services into Central London on the Northern Line, plus Night Tube. Multiple bus routes provide regular services to Colindale, Harrow, Kilburn and Brent Cross.

David Gooch, Commercial Director at Network Homes, said: “We’re excited to be working with PDR construction to deliver this extremely well-connected scheme in such a great location. Premier Place will provide much needed affordable homes to residents of the London Borough of Barnet.”

Paul Dransfield, Managing Director at PDR Construction, said: “PDR have worked with Network Homes for over a year to secure an agreement for this landmark project in the centre of Edgware. The 122 new affordable homes represent our continued progress with housing providers in Greater London to help deliver affordable homes.”
