Hear from previous Apprentices

Since working at SW9, I have become much more organised in my work and have gained a new insight into the social housing sector. During my first month I worked alongside the Customer Services Team, took part in some Tenancy Audits and also shadowed the Repairs Team. It was really interesting to see everything that goes into getting a repair done and how we try to ensure the best outcome for every resident.

My time as an Apprentice allowed me to develop a set of skills that would propel me to the next step. I like to think that the housing sector chose me! I kept my options open when I came out of university and jumped at the opportunity to work in a role that would allow me to not only learn lot about a new industry but also give something back to my community. House building is really people focused and I love that about it.
