What do you do at Network Homes?
I'm a HR Officer working within the People and Culture team. I've been at Network Homes for four years. My role is to provide professional, high quality, first-line HR services. I support staff to develop, implement areas of employee relations and ensure HR policies and procedures comply with current legislation.
What do you enjoy most about working at Network Homes?
I enjoy the diversity of my role. As well as doing my day to day job, I’m involved in a number of cross departmental projects so I’m able to work in collaboration with all directorates. This is great as it brings together different expertise and knowledge. I also enjoy working with my team who are supportive, professional and passionate about their role at Network Homes and push me to be the best I can be.
What makes Network Homes a great organisation to you?
What makes Network Homes great is the staff. In my role I’m able to engage with different teams. Everyone’s effort makes a difference here, from our Finance team who ensure value for money to our Welfare Advisors who support residents with their housing needs. I’m there to support each one of them throughout their career with us. We all work towards one goal - to make Network Homes great because “Good homes make everything possible”.
How has working at Network Homes helped you develop your career?
I started working at Network Homes in October 2013 as a HR Assistant. It was my first role in HR and I’ve progressed to a HR Officer. Network Homes has sponsored me in my professional development. I’ve successfully completed a CIPD level 3 and 5 and I’m now a CIPD Associate Member. This has given me the ability and confidence to support and coach managers. Network Homes also offers a range of in-house training. I have attended Excel training and Project Management to development my skills and knowledge.
