We are recruiting into our Handy Person service. You will be responsible for providing a responsive service for day to day repairs, dealing with general items of repair and maintenance in the interior and exterior of the building. You will undertake void works, delivering a first class service that is value for money and customer focused.

You will carry out routine checks, repairs and maintenance of household equipment, and the exterior of the building and ensure the maintenance service is delivered in response to the diverse needs of residents and customers. You will be required to respond to emergencies i.e. Burst pipes, fire alarms, making property secure, etc. Additionally, you will ensure that empty properties are made ready for letting within target times and that repairs and damage, which are the responsibility of the outgoing tenant, are identified and the Housing Officer informed. You will carry out general maintenance.

Your customer service skills will be exemplary and you will display a friendly, flexible, helpful and courteous attitude to colleagues, tenants and the general public. You would be expected to have knowledge of basic construction and property maintenance techniques and of Health and Safety issues relating to property maintenance. You should, at minimum, demonstrate experience of working in a handy person role with similar responsibilities.

This position is based at Wembley covering a portfolio of sites around Brent and Hertfordshire.
