  • Construction Skills Course

    Work Zone are running a two Week Construction Skills Course as a routeway into construction jobs at the Shepherd Bush Job Centre.

    Benefits

    • Earn £9+ p.h. as a skilled construction professional
    • You will gain the skills needed and have access to employers with jobs

    Jobs/Apprenticeships available at all levels with opportunities including:

  • Apprentice Level 3 Nursery Assistant

    An early years day nursery in Harrow is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Assistant. The nursery is for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children, with an emphasis on high-quality traditional care and development

    The candidate will need to be passionate about working with children in a setting where listening and communication skills are paramount. 

    Skills Required: 

    • GCSEs A*- C in English, Maths and ICT desirable
    • Willingness to undertake further training
    • Some experience of working with young children.

    Benefits:

    • Full on the job training to be provided and one day a week college attendance for underpinning knowledge.
    • Candidate will work towards Early Years NVQ, technical certificate, and functional skills, and employment rights and responsibility.

    An early years day nursery in Royal Lane is looking for an apprentice Nursery Assistant. They are a nursery for children aged from 2 to 5, pre-school children, with an emphasis on high quality care and development. They have a long standing established setting and candidates need to be reliable and committed.

    The candidate must have experience and should already hold a Level 2 Childcare qualification.

    • Level 2 Childcare qualification
    • Willingness to undertake further training
    • Some experience of working with young children

  • Transport for London Apprenticeship Fair

    Kickstart your 2017 and secure an apprenticeship at TFL or one of their supply chain employers. This highly successful annual event has helped hundreds of young people find apprenticeship jobs.

  • Trainee Site Manager

    Denmark & White Ltd are offering a job opportunity as a Trainee Site Manager to our local residents in Ware, Hertfordshire. Candidates will be involved in supporting and assisting the Site Manager or designated manager in the delivery of customers’ expectations.

    You will assist in the management and control of the activities on site to successfully complete projects in a safe manner, without waste, to the stipulated quality standards, within the contract period and to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, whilst developing sufficient knowledge and experience to progress.

    Qualifications Required: 

    • Previous experience within the construction industry would be desirable but not essential
    • Education Level - GCSE or equivalent
    • IT literate particularly Microsoft Office and Excel and keen to extend knowledge on software packages
    • A genuine interest in construction
    • Good communication- Ability to develop relationships with both internal and external customers through strong communication skills.
    • Able to work within a team but also be self-motivated.
    • Good aptitude
    • A desire to provide a high level of customer service.
    • Ability to develop operational and commercial awareness.
    • Must be able to work at heights and scaffolding
    • Able to work in all weather conditions
    • Work site hours.

  • The Prince's Trust Get into Retail with TK Maxx for 16-25 year olds

    Are you 16-25? Looking for work in retail? The Prince's Trust in partnership with TK Max are offering young people training opportunities in retail.

    Meet new people and learn new skills as well as gaining work experience. We’ll also help you with your CV.

    Not only will it boost your confidence and employability, but you’ll also have the chance to benefit from the support of one our mentors to help you uncover your next steps.

  • The Prince's Trust Get Started in Fashion with ASOS for 16 - 25 years olds

    The Prince's Trust and ASOS are running a get started in fashion programme for 16 - 25 year olds. It's a free one week programme for those currently living in London and not in education, training or employment. 

    Benefits:

    • Work as a group to create new fashion ideas 
    • Learn how to redesign charity shop ‘finds’ and sell them on the ASOS website 
    • Visit an ASOS factory and learn about the product development process 
    • Use photography to create ‘street style’ fashion images 
    • Meet experienced on-line vintage clothes sellers and improve your sales skills 
    • Meet new people and improve your confidence and teamwork skills 
    • Receive up to three months support after the course to help you take your next step.
