We've updated our Five Year Strategy!

We’ve updated the Network Homes Five Year Strategy to take account of the major changes in our operating environment since the previous draft in early 2016. The Brexit vote, the change of Conservative government and the Grenfell Tower tragedy have had a huge impact on government policy towards housing and our strategy needs to reflect that new dynamic.

While we’ve retained the same four strategic objectives, a number of the ambitions and key actions which sit beneath them have changed. The headline objectives and ambitions are:

  • Maximising growth within our resources: 5,000 new homes in five years
  • Delivering first class customer service: 90% overall customer satisfaction
  • Increasing financial strength: 35% operating margin on core social housing business
  • Building a great organisation: A Sunday Times Best 100 Company to Work For.

For each of these four areas we’ve set out a roadmap of annual targets to take us to our goals within the five year period. This incorporates the required metrics in the Regulator for Social Housing’s new Value for Money Standard.

Network Homes wants to do all it can to tackle the housing crisis in London and the South East. And, as our new Future Shape of the Sector report shows, in responding to the digital age and a post-Grenfell world, associations will need to do more to build and maintain trust, and keep customer satisfaction high.
