Network Homes cleans up at top development awards

23 May 2016

We've beaten stiff competition to win ‘Best Regeneration Project’, ‘Best Affordable Development’ and a Highly Commended for ‘Best First Time Buyer Home’ at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2016.

Network Homes’ Stockwell Park was named ‘best regeneration project’, in recognition of the transformation of the estate over the last ten years. The £200m regeneration project is due to be complete in 2018/19, and is delivering 638 new homes and 571 refurbished homes.

Lime Walk, picked up the ‘best affordable development’ award. Just five minutes from Wembley Park Station and comprising 111 homes, Lime Walk offers a wide range of tenures including shared ownership, shared equity, private sale and affordable rent. Built on the site of a former car park, the Lime Walk development has brought much needed high quality and affordable housing to the Wembley Park area.

Network Homes was also highly commended for ‘Best First Time Buyer Home’ for its development, The Junction, in Stockwell. The Junction comprises 52 one and two bed apartments for outright sale and five 1 bed apartments for shared ownership sale.

Vicky Savage, Executive Director of Development, Network Homes, said:

“These awards really showcase the diversity of the work we do at Network Homes. In every development project we undertake, whether for regeneration or new build, we take enormous care with our designs and keep people at the very centre of what we do.

“From supporting strong local communities to thrive, to building new homes that meet a variety of needs, we firmly believe that providing good homes opens up new possibilities for people to meet their aspirations in life.

“With house prices and private rents in London continuing to rise, there remains a clear need for more affordable homes. This year we completed nearly 1,100 new homes of all tenures and I’m delighted Network Homes is making such a strong contribution to new housing supply in London and the Homes Counties.”
