Network Homes to Kickstart careers in Brent

25 March 2021

Network Homes has joined forces with Brent Council to be part of Government’s new £2 billion Kickstart scheme to help young people who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Young people are more likely to have been furloughed, with many working in sectors disproportionately hit by the pandemic. The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24-year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Network will initially take on a cohort of seven individuals in April and then take on a second cohort later during the year. They will complete up to six months work placement with us in areas such as Construction and Regeneration, Customer Service, HR, Lettings and Administration, Re-Sales and Staircasing and Facilities.

To apply for the Kickstart programme, residents will need to contact their Job Centre Coach.

Young people have been hardest hit by the economic impacts of the pandemic. It is brilliant that we are working in partnership with Brent council to offer job placements to local young people. Please join me in giving them all the warmest of welcomes and best wishes that we can help them build successful and rewarding careers.
