Apply for the Kickstart programme
15 March 2021
We are excited to announce we’re working in partnership with Brent Council and are a part of Governments new £2 billion Kickstart Programme initiative to help young people who have been impacted by the pandemic.
The Kickstart Programme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24-year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment. The Government has pointed out that young people are more likely to have been furloughed, with many working in sectors disproportionately hit by the pandemic. The Kickstart jobs are designed to build their skills in the workplace and are meant to help them gain experience to improve their chances of finding long-term work.
As part of the programme, the young person will complete up to 6 months' work placement with us in the following teams:
- Construction and Regeneration
- Customer Service
- Lettings and Administration
- Re-Sales and Staircasing
Apply for the programme
We will initially take on a cohort of seven individuals on the April 1, 2021 and then take on a second cohort later during the year. If you are aged between 16 to 24, are currently not in employment and receive Universal Credit, you can apply for the programme. To apply for the Kickstart programme, you’ll need to contact your Job Centre Coach.
