SNG offers £150,000 #iwill funding for community wellbeing projects for young people

01 November 2023

We’ve opened applications for the SNG #iwill Fund 2.0 offering up to £10,000 in grants for organisations delivering a specialist training programme for young people to champion mental health and wellbeing in their communities. Young participants will become Wellbeing Champions with training equipping them with the skills to plan and lead on a youth social action project.

#iwill Funding brings together organisations looking to deliver meaningful action into the lives of young people. It’s been made possible thanks to a £66 million joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to support young people to access high-quality social action opportunities across the country.

SNG is acting as a match funder and awarding a total of £1.5million in grants for various opportunities on behalf of the #iwill Fund. The Wellbeing Champions Programme (WCP) is in partnership with Reverse The Trend Foundation, a charity focused on helping young people with their mental and physical health and researching links between the two. Reverse the Trend will use their specialist knowledge and experience to create a guide and resources to aid with training our Wellbeing Champions to make an even bigger impact on their community.

We’re launching our first round of grants for the WCP with £150,000 available in total, and each grant will be for a maximum of £10,000. If your organisation supports young people’s mental health and wellbeing, click here to apply for our #iwill fund before the deadline of Sunday 19 November!
