Racism has no place in our society

Racism has no place in our society. The abhorrent reaction of some people on social media and in person to the outcome of the match last night shows that racism is still prevalent in our country. It is on every one of us to condemn all forms of racism and actively fight against it.

We stand in solidarity with Marcus, Jadon, Bukayo and all of our black residents and colleagues. We have been making progress in relation to equality, diversity and inclusion within our organisation and the services which we provide to residents but we know that much more needs to be done.

While we will continue to deliver on our commitments, we will also reflect on what more we can do to create diverse and inclusive communities.
