I’m so pleased that SNG’s National Apprenticeship Week networking event at our Wembley office was a resounding success! It was a pleasure to host over 18 aspiring apprentices at our Wembley office who travelled in from a wide area ranging from Ware, Hertfordshire, Loughton, Essex, and Tottenham, North London.

The event room was buzzing with energy as people actively networked and engaged with our contractor partners like AA Wood, Durkan, ARJ, Countryside, Howarth Homes, JBT, Kingsbury, and Oakray. The food and raffle prize were also a hit! It proved to be the perfect opportunity for participants to meet with our contractor partners and learn about construction apprenticeship opportunities.

Events like this showcase the impact we can have as a social housing provider in creating life-changing opportunities for our customers and communities. Apprenticeships provide a pathway to stable careers, and we're committed to bridging the skills gap and building talent pipelines in the trades.

As Employment and Skills Manager, I cherish opportunities like this to make a tangible difference for our customers and bring people together. Connecting aspiring apprentices with established contractors is one of the most rewarding parts of my role. I believe that that SNG is uniquely positioned to create opportunities and open doors for our communities.

The enthusiasm and engagement at the event inspired me. I'm already looking forward to our next National Apprenticeship Week and putting on an even bigger showcase of career-launching apprenticeship opportunities.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!
