Network Homes raises nearly £800 for charitable fund in bike ride

13 July 2022

Fifteen colleagues from Network Homes have raised £795 by cycling 40 miles from our Wembley office all the way to our office in Hertford. The ‘Tour de Network’ took place in June and raised money for our Charitable Fund which supports residents in getting back on their feet following financial hardship or emergencies by providing them with food vouchers, beds, cookers, clothes for job interviews and other essential goods.

All of the bike ride volunteers arrived safely in Hertford after an exhilarating but exhausting day of cycling in the sunshine. Our bike riders had great things to say about the experience:

I had a brilliant time connecting our two main places of work with colleagues I knew well and not at all before we started. The collective spirit and lack of any competition made it a special bonding experience. There’s a great deal of pride in knowing that our efforts have helped us provide crucial support to residents through our Charitable Fund. I can’t wait to do the bike ride again next year!

For me this bike ride was a massive achievement as I'm not an avid bike rider and never thought I would ever be able to complete 40 miles! I feel like I could achieve anything now I’ve done this, and it’s even better that it’s for a good cause 😊

We’re really proud of our colleagues who took on the challenge to raise money to support our residents! See photos from the day below:
